Service Fees
US Passport Application Fee and other associated costs must be paid via check (cashier’s, certified, personal, traveler’s) or money order payable to “U.S. Department of State”
Execution fee of $35.00 paid to UMBC can be paid via check, money order or Retriever Dollars if applicable.
UMBC Photo Fee of $20.00 paid to UMBC can be paid via check, money order or Retriever Dollars if applicable.

Passport Photos: Passport Photo services will be rendered by appointment only on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 9AM – 11AM and 1PM – 3PM. To schedule an appointment, please click here and select your desired appointment date and time. You will receive two passport photos and the fee will be $20.00 payable by Retriever Dollars. You will receive 2 physical photos and a .jpeg emailed to you. Passport Photo services are not available during Campus Closure. This includes, but is not limited to, inclement weather, scheduled holidays, and Spring/Winter break. The following criteria will be used when taking the photos:
- Both eyes open
- Hair does not shadow face
- Neutral facial expression or mild, natural smile (no open-mouth smile)
- No glasses, hats or head coverings
- Face looking straight & head not turned/tilted
