Off-Campus Merchants
Off-Campus Merchants are vendors who accept the Retriever Card as a method of payment. These merchants can only accept Retriever Dollars for payment—Meal Plans and Flex cannot be used at these locations.
The DCARD can be used to make purchases from the following off-campus locations, including delivery to campus. Tipping is allowed up to 20% of the food sale (excluding tax).

The partnership between UMBC and Sorrento of Arbutus shows the university’s commitment to supporting local businesses and serves to foster a stronger connection between the university and the local community. Please contact the store for any promotions they may offer.
For delivery orders, customers must use the campus address (1000 Hilltop Cir., Baltimore, MD 21250). For carry-out or dine-in orders, customers must identify themselves as a UMBC student, staff, or faculty member.

Papa John’s is the only off-campus merchant that will accept Flex for payment.
UMBC is happy to announce that our dining services provider, Chartwells, is partnering with Papa John’s Pizza in Halethorpe to offer members of the UMBC community special pricing when ordering pizza. Papa John’s will not offer special pricing by default.
How to get Special Pricing: State that you are ordering under UMBC’s account at 1000 Hilltop Circle. Provide your name, direct phone number, and department/organization to establish authorization.
Special Pricing Details: Get a large cheese pizza and/or a large 1-topping pizza for $8. Additional toppings cost $2.10 per topping. There is a $5.99 delivery charge for all delivery orders.
